Marita Arevalo is a Workforce Planning Consultant for Seattle Children’s Hospital. She provides consultation to department leadership on equity, diversity, and retention strategies. In addition, she leads programs that provide underrepresented communities with access to healthcare training and employment opportunities. These programs represent hire now, early career, and future talent from underrepresented communities.

Her experience in talent acquisition, career planning and development, and mentorship spans over 20 years. Marita has helped hundreds of Latins (o, a, as, os, x) and multicultural job seekers map out their career paths and find their dream position. Playing a small part in helping individuals who come from marginalized groups, in finding their dream job in healthcare, a position they never dreamed possible, reminds her why she loves her work.

Marita served as the Vice President and President of the Washington State Healthcare Recruiters Association and currently serves on the Sound Careers in Healthcare committee as a subject matter expert and organizer. She is grateful for the relationships she has built with healthcare leaders in the Pacific Northwest and proud to serve on the NALHE/PNW Board.
