Bo Bostinto is a Healthcare Surveyor Supervisor with NMDOH that serves residents and participants in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Nursing Facilities, and Intermediate Care Facilities for the Intellectually Disabled. He supervises a team of qualified individuals who are responsible for ensuring that all state and federal regulations are followed in each facility type. The goal is to confirm that each individual residing in a long term care facility is safe and receives the highest quality of care possible.

Bo earned a master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of New Mexico, a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of New Mexico, and an associate’s degree in Fire Science from Doña Aña Community College. Prior to joining NMDOH, Bostinto was a Firefighter/EMT with the New Mexico State University Fire Department for 5 years. With that experience, he then became an NREMT Paramedic and worked as a Paramedic for 4 years with Albuquerque Ambulance Services, where he served the public by working in the busy 911 system.

Outside of work, he serves on the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE)- New Mexico Chapter Board as Secretary. Bo also serves on the Board for the New Mexico Healthcare Executives (NMHE) organization, and is the General Manager for Let It Be Yoga; a local hot yoga studio. As a leader of several healthcare related organizations, Bostinto wants to inspire and serve individuals in his community to help diversify healthcare and provide representation to the underserved communities.

Raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bo enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and taking his two beautiful dogs (Dottie and Kuzco) for walks.
