Amita Tiwari

Amita Tiwari is a dedicated healthcare professional passionate about improving patient care and promoting healthcare equity. Currently serving as a Patient Care Coordinator and Account Manager at UNM Carelink Hospital Pediatric (Behavioral Health) in New Mexico, USA. Amita is responsible for managing patient care and accounts to ensure the highest quality of service.
Amita also holds the Intern (Data Analyst) position at the Bernalillo County, Department of Behavioral Health Services. She utilizes her analytical skills to provide insights and recommendations for improving patient care. As Vice President of the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE) New Mexico Chapter, Amita is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare leadership.
Amita’s expertise in healthcare administration is further demonstrated in her role as a Project Assistant at the School of Public Administration, The University of New Mexico. Here, she works with Professor Young Joo Park to assist with research and analysis on various healthcare projects.
Amita is pursuing a Master of Health Administration (M.H.A.) at the University of New Mexico (USA). Before this, she earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) degree from the Dental College Azamgarh, Azamgarh, India, where she ranked among the top 5% of her batch throughout the course. She also worked as a Dental Assistant at High Mesa Dental Arts, Los Alamos, NM, USA, and as a Dentist at Rishabh Dental Implant Center, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Amita’s commitment to excellence has been recognized through various awards, including the prestigious International Amigo Scholarship from the University of New Mexico (UNM), NM (USA), and twelve ICare awards from UNM Carelink Hospital Pediatric, New Mexico (USA).
In addition to her professional endeavors, Amita has actively engaged in teaching and voluntary activities throughout her career. She conducted chairside education of junior dental students on patient examination skills and clinical methods during her internship in various departments, organized field visits in rural areas during her BDS internship, and diagnosed patients with dental cases in Uttar Pradesh (India). She was actively involved in awareness camps conducted within the dental college Azamgarh in India.
