Roel Hinojosa III is from Southwest Detroit where he grew up as a troubled youth and became a product of the environment. At the age of 28, Roel’s first child was born Esabella and became the reason to change his life. Turning to legitimate work leaving the streets behind, Roel began working at the DMC as an hourly employee. A challenge from an administrative director at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Roel, enrolled in college for the first time in 2012 completing his bachelor’s in business administration. Currently, Roel is working on his master’s in business administration with a focus on leadership at Grand Canyon University.  

Roel Hinojosa III has over 12 years of healthcare leadership experience and a passion for building high functioning teams. At the DMC Roel served as a Support Servcices manager and Director of Environmental Services and Guest Relations. Currently serving as the Regional Hospitality Manager for Corewell Health’s East Region collaborating with the local leaders to create best in class service and exceptional first impressions.  

A strong passion for collaboration, Roel fosters a servant leaders’ heart and ambition to excel. As an entrepreneur Roel operates a non-profit youth baseball organization for kids ages 8-12, Heaters Sports Academy and helps his sister with her business Poppin Top Hat a gourmet popcorn business in Detroit Michigan. Roel has two children, Esabell and Roel IV and enjoys baseball, traveling and mentorship.
