Cristina Arcelay is a US Navy Veteran who served on Active Duty for 11 years, as a 1st Class Petty Officer, and was honorably discharged in 2012. Her duty stations included: the USS Frank Cable (AS-40), Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Hawaii, Navy Recruiting District (NRD) New York, and the USS Bataan (LHD-5).

After separating from the military, she earned her BSBA in Computer Information Systems, from Hawaii Pacific University. She then completed her MBA in Managerial Analytics at Mercy College. This native New Yorker of Puerto Rican descent was raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and has been working, as a Healthcare Privacy & Compliance Professional, in the Greater NYC area since 2021.
Prior to her current role, she was the HIPAA Compliance Officer for National Ramp, the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) leading ramp manufacturer. During her 5 years at the company, the VA Division helped over 30,000 veterans safely regain accessibility to and from their homes.

When she isn’t spending time with friends and family, Cristina enjoys travelling abroad and giving back to the community.
The National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE) is one of the many organizations where she devotes her time. Cristina served as the Chair of Social Media & Projects for the NALHE Tri-State Chapter from 2021-2023.
As the Secretary of NALHE’s Federal Chapter, she is hoping her contributions will have an even bigger impact on the Veteran and Healthcare communities.
