Victor Hernandez, MHA

Treasurer | Sponsorship and Partnership

Victor Hernandez, MHA, is a native Mexican born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. After facing the health risks and disparities that first generation immigrants suffered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Victor worked towards a career that could impact his community and give a voice to the voiceless. He earned his Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration from Carroll University in Milwaukee.

In order to gain more exposure in the field, Victor joined the Center for Advancing Population Science (CAPS) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. There, he worked with global leaders in the healthcare transformation to foster the creation of innovative ideas regarding how to evaluate and improve the quality of patient care across diverse populations and geographic regions. Victor went on to pursue his Master’s in Healthcare Administration at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, where he served as the Founder and President of the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE) – Student Caucus and served on the founding executive board of the NALHE Wisconsin Chapter.

Victor is thrilled to be at Johns Hopkins Medicine, the epitome of healthcare innovation, patient care excellence, and medical education. He seeks to widen his understanding of the healthcare landscape through mentorship and strategic-driven projects that can expand his knowledge of healthcare operations and quality improvement. In addition to his passion for healthcare, Victor loves to watch & play soccer, play Spikeball, watch Oscar-worthy films, and spend quality time with the people he loves.
