Christina Martinez is the Director of Compliance, Privacy and Ethics at a non-profit human rights organization. She is responsible for enforcing HIPAA privacy regulations for programs, ensuring privacy and ethics elements are integrated in collaborative research projects, and enterprise-wide compliance. Christina has also begun providing clinical compliance consulting services to other healthcare leaders.

Christina started her healthcare career 18 years ago as a Neonatal ICU and Pediatric RN. Her nursing career included work experiences in large hospital settings located in Chicago, Ann Arbor, MI, and Orange County and Los Angeles, CA. Christina’s career path then transitioned to administrative roles in Quality and Risk Management.

Christina obtained her Masters of Jurisprudence in Healthcare Law at Loyola University Chicago. She also has her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Psychology. Christina is also Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) and as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP). Christina loves to volunteer for children services and in the minority communities within Chicago
