Lorie Thibodeaux
Board Member, NALHE Senior, Performance Improvement Manager (System Level) Parkland Hospital
Lorie Thibodeaux, MHA, CDT, CPHQ, HACP, ITILv3, based in Dallas Fort Worth, is a systemwide Senior Manager for Dallas large County Hospital and Health System with experience in closing a Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA). She led enterprise-wide projects, executive project meetings with the board of managers, leadership, department heads, providers, and other clinicians to discuss strategic goals.
Building a safe culture and teamwork-centered community in a high-risk environment is no easy task. It requires buy-in from key stakeholders and mastering complex leadership challenges.
Lorie demonstrates strong motivation and leadership to help drive our organization into being a safer place. She is an established result-oriented leader with a passion for community development and advocacy. She has powerful relationship building, marketing, and program development. Lorie is dedicated problem-solver with strong speaking, teaching, and facilitation skills. She collaborates with all levels of stakeholders to achieve organizational strategic goals while meeting challenging deadlines.
In December 2018, Lorie wrote the proposal for the development of an Employee Resource Group for the Women’s Group at Parkland Health. This program addresses employee engagement, community development, advocacy and other systemwide strategic initiatives to improve the diversity and inclusion space. In 2022, Lorie Thibodeaux was recognized and awarded the Healthcare DEI Champion by Diversity FIRST™ for creating an impact, visionary leadership, and commitment to foster change in the field of diversity and inclusion.
Lorie holds an MHA from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Bachelor of Science from Spring Hill College, and holds certifications: ITILv3, HACP, and CPHQ. Lorie is also certified in Certified Diversity Trainer from the Diversity Executive Leadership Academy. She also has certificates in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace, in Inclusive and Ethical Leadership from USF, and in Healthcare Leadership from Duke University.
Lorie enjoys making an impact in the Dallas-Fort Worth community and supports, diversity, health equity, and community building efforts. She is the founding and Immediate Past DFW Chapter President for the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE). Recognized as the Chapter Leader of the Year 2021, she continues to serve NALHE on the Executive Board. She also serves on the ACHE Diversity Committee and is the Founding Member of the Women Healthcare Executive Network (WHEN) for the American College of Healthcare Executives- North Texas. She is also on the Jewish Family Service Board.
