Xavier Villarreal, Chief Executive Officer, Hillcrest Medical Center, and Secretary & Treasurer at NALHE

Xavier Villarreal joined Ardent Health Services as the Chief Executive Officer of Hillcrest Medical Center in April 2019.

Xavier has over 24 years of healthcare experience and prior to joining Ardent served as the CEO of Medical City North Hills where he lead the organization in improving Patient Experience results above the 75th percentile along with moving the hospital from a C rating to an A rating in the Leapfrog Safety Grade. Additionally, Xavier has served in executive roles in Texas including Christus Spohn in Corpus Christi, Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, and Abilene Regional Medical Center in Abilene. Xavier started his career at Hillcrest HealthCare System in Oklahoma serving in leadership roles at Hillcrest Medical Center, Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau and Fairfax Memorial Hospital in Fairfax.

Xavier received his BBA in Accounting at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and his Masters in Healthcare Administration at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

Currently Xavier serves on the Board of The National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE), the Board of the Tulsa Hospital Council and the Board of the Red River Region of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Xavier is an Eagle Scout and a recipient of the BSA Founder’s Award. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Xavier has been married to his wife, Tiffany, for 17 years and they have two sons and a daughter. Michael (15), Isabella (12) and Anthony (6). Xavier enjoys traveling with his family, camping and being outdoors.
