Adela Garcia Adela Garcia is a dedicated healthcare professional, currently works at CHRISTUS Children’s. Adela is has been appointed as Interim Director over Child Life, and Volunteer Services in additional to her current position as Director of CHRISTUS Children’s eight WIC locations in Boerne and Hill Country area.

During her time at WIC, Adela spearheaded the rapid acquisition of 4 additional WIC clinics. Within a tight timeframe, she efficiently oversaw various critical elements of this endeavor, including staff integration, project management, and financial aspects, ensuring everything was meticulously prepared by the stipulated deadline.

Prior to that, Adela worked as a revenue integrity coordinator for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa-Westover Hills Hospital for 5 years, in collaboration with senior leaders and clinical departments to ensure revenue optimization. She graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Adela also completed her Master’s Degree in Health Administration from University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, Texas. In addition to her job duties, Adela likes to stay involved within the community.

She is currently an active board member for the House of Neighborly Service organization, participates in the Alexander Briseno Leadership program, and graduated from the Latina Leadership Institute from the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of commerce in 2022.
