Xavier Villarreal is the Chief Executive officer at Medical City North Hills, having started in January 2016.
With over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, Villarreal joined Medical City North Hills – a part of HCA’s Medical City Healthcare division – from CHRISTUS Health where he most recently served as the Vice President and chief operating officer of CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline and Memorial Hospitals in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Prior to joining CHRISTUS Spohn he served for seven years as the CEO of Navarro Regional Hospital, a 162-bed acute care hospital in Corsicana Texas, and as COO at Abilene Regional Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Xavier worked for Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, Oklahoma for eight years during which he served as CEO at the Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau, Oklahoma and Fairfax Memorial Hospital in Fairfax, Oklahoma.
Villarreal received his BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and his Masters in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. He has led statewide health care efforts and has served in the past on the Texas Hospital Association Board of Directors and the HOSPAC Boards of Directors. He currently serves on the boards of HeathSHARE, Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce and The Alliance for Children. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Villarreal is an Eagle Scout and a recipient of the BSA Founder’s Award.
Xavier has been married to his wife, Tiffany, for 13 years and they have two sons and a daughter, Michael (12), Isabella (9) and Anthony (3). He and his family live in North Richland Hills.
